Never waters lawn

I have had the netro for a  week and it has yet to water the lawn. Today, it states 12 more days until the next water. I have Bermuda grass in Alabama, it is 90+ degrees daily. Seems like it will never water. It has only rained for 5 minutes the last week, but the app thinks it has rained more often.

Difficulty connecting to Google WiFi

I have a Sprite that refuses to connect to my Google WiFi.  Even with the router in the garage with it.

It will connect to a mobile hotspot on a cell phone.  Is there a known issue for Google WiFi?  I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps without any luck.

To the correct WiFi although it is.  Bought a new sensor - not connecting since upgrade to iOS 13. Please advise. See pictures.

Zero lux on whisperer during day time

Hey- just added the whisperer sensors to the system - one sensor by the bamboo always shows zero lux sunlight, it is mostly in shade, but definitely gets light, is it strange that sensor shows zero lux?

Manually watering Zone 2, sprinklers stopped watering while the app still showing watering and counting the time, tried all other zones, none is watering though the app shows they’re. Checked wifi works, power to the controller works. The only thing I noticed is that the light on the controller is off all the time except when unplug and plug it back, the light flicks once and then remained off

Installation Direct to pump

Tim Foster
Updated at 2019-10-03 11:23:32 UTC

OK. I have my plumber installing this. Unfortunately, this is México and so beyond the basics, most plumbers are struggling about in the dark. We've figured most of it out, but we're a bit in the dark on a couple of bits.

I have the following:

A ground source well with a Franklin Electric submersible pump as my water source. This pumps directly from the ground to the zone controller.

The zone controller is an Antelco EzyValve4 solenoid (https://antelco.com/us/products/valves/automatic/ezyvalve-4). This has a water input and four zone outputs. Each of the four solenoids has two wires and their website shows how to connect 1 of the wires together as the common and then the other four for each controller. This is all good.

The problem is power to the pump. The Netro installation video says "if you have a master valve, connect that to the M slot". I googled a bit and found "A master valve is an automatic valve that is installed at the point where the irrigation system connects to the water supply. (Sometimes this circuit is called a “pump start circuit”. Both types of circuits work identical, and can be used for a pump and/or a master valve.) The controller turns the master valve on and off."

So, does this mean I connect the power from the pump directly to the "M" slot? and would this then turn on the pump when a zone is opened for watering? So, Zone 1 comes on to water the garden, does this also switch the pump on?

From what I understand the pump will be 110v, so do I need a relay unit between the pump wire and the Neatro (24v)?

Can anyone give me a confirmation that this is the right way to configure it please?

Amount of Rainfall keeps changing

Netro app keeps changing the amount of rainfall that we have had. Day before yesterday it rained heavily. The very next day Netro app showed that it rained 1 inch. Today it’s showing that on that same day it rained only 0.33 inch. Any idea why it keeps fluctuating for something that has already happened in the past?

Smart vs. manual program

Hi just wanted to know if I running only customs programs for watering I can take advantage of the Smart Watering feature. In other words, I only have my own watering program, NO smart programs, and need to know if the controller will skip these programs when raining. If NOT will the sensor allow provide that feature?

Thx - Mike

Same Zone Settings, Different Results

Updated at 2018-07-14 11:23:00 UTC

Hello - I have a 9 zone system. I have set all of the zones with the exact same settings for type, grass, etc. I do not have any sensors.

However, the app shows the zones having different moisture levels, and waters certain zones differently than others, even though the settings and system location are the exact same.

Can you help me understand why the system would treat these identically programmed zones differently

Thanks!

EPA Recommendations

Updated at 2018-07-14 11:30:12 UTC

In the zone settings, the app offers different types of watering, for example, regular, deep watering, boost, etc. One is labeled EPA.

What are the differences between the settings and watering times/amounts for: regular, boost, and EPA?

watering usage doesn't match

Topic: General

Here is something I cannot reconcile. I am dealing with a pretty big water usage reported by the utility. It says in the month of May I used 530 GPD (gallons per day). I seem to be watering every 3 days (set by Netro).

Compared to winter months when I rarely watered the lawn due to the rainy season, it is a jump of ~ 270 GPD.

When I check the Netro app, it reports I used ~ 3.5 CCF for the month of May. 1 CCF = 748 gallons, and that translates to roughly 87 gallons per day. This is less than 1/3 of what the utility is telling me. How can this discrepancy be explained? Any ideas/tips for finding why I seem to be using this much water? Thanks in advance!
