Watering even though 100% saturation

Dear customer,


The humidity is 27% on April 13th and it shows 100% after watering on April 14th.


Netro encourages longer water time and less water frequency, which will help growth of the roots. It will also break long water time to several small slots to prevent water runoff. If you think the smart schedules water too much , you can either change to different smart zone mode (ECO), or you can set up your own programs and set up your smart zone in basic level. Could you please confirm if your programs are enabled and check the start time of your programs?


If you want to use your own programs and do not want smart zone schedule to override your own programmed schedule, you can set up the Smart Zone level from Advanced to Basic for this certain zone, which only skip rainning days for your programmed schedule. Dear customer,


By default, Netro skip schedules today and tomorrow if today rains more than 0.2 inch. If the rainfall amount is smaller than 0.2 inch reported by weather provider, Netro will not skip watering. 


The weather report may not be that accurate. If you want try another weather report, please go settings->weather provider. You can switch to other weather providers to see if it works better. You could also try weather provider: Wunderground PWS and input your station ID. 


You can adjust the rain data through Discover page->"+" button on the upper right corner-> Correct rainfall. You could also customized the weather restrictions, like I want to skip the schedules on the day after tomorrow as well, or I want to skip if rain more than 0.1 inch. The setting is in "setting -> preferences -> rain".


To turn off the smart zone feature, please go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone to turn off the smart zone feature. For more information about Netro smart watering, here is an article about Netro three watering modes which might be helpful. https://netrohome.com/forum/posts/111

Thanks a lot for your suggestion and we will update the translation accordingly for the App and Web versions. 

If you create a program or restriction, Netro will strictly follow the watering time and duration, however, preferences will not. Netro will try to water during your preferred time. However, if Netro believes your watering is not enough, it will still water your zones regardless of your preferred watering time.

Maximum watering duration for SPARK

We have adjusted the watering duration up to 2 hours. However, currently it is ready for beta testing. If you are interested in trying this feature, we will enable it internally for you. Please note that the touch screenshot of the Spark controller shows 99 minutes, not 120 minutes. We will fix it in a future release.

No, connecting the Netro Pixie Z1 to WiFi and the app requires the use of the Netro Hub and can not be directly connected through the Netro Sprite.

Feature request for the system - objective deeper roots and less water consumption

Currently, our system has considered the factor of soil evaporation to help you better control watering and save water. However, we have not yet considered the transpiration process of grass in the watering algorithm. If we take transpiration into account, it will help us better understand the water needs of grass, avoid over or under-watering, and improve watering efficiency.


We will take your opinions into consideration and strive to add the consideration of transpiration in the future development plan, so as to further improve the intelligence and practicality of the system.
