Sprite app says its watering but it is not

It has been working for 3 weeks, but now it does not. 

I have checked all 7 zones. No wiring issues. Has proper voltage. 

It just won't come on. How do I get it to work again. This is a new unit. Sprinklers are all fine and had a tune up when the Sprite was installed. 

I have unplugged it and plugged it back in. I need help soon, I have new sod and many new plants in my yard and gardens.

Sprinklers don’t work

Hi

Although the app tells me I’m on line my sprinklers will not activate. I’m not sure if there been a recent update, however had the same problem last year with firm wear. I’m based in the UK, so not sure if this makes a difference 

Please help

Buongiorno, ho installato correttamente la centralina Netro.

Ora ho installato due sensori whisperer, li ho collegati alla centralina e vedo i dati correttamente ma non riesco a collegarli alle due zone che ho creato.

Leggono solo i dati ma restano indipendenti dalle zone irrigate.

Ho provato a resettarli e reinstallarli ma non mi viene mai chiesto in che zona abbinarli.

Nella home Page della centralina Netro, entrando nella cartella sensori non vengono visti.

Plant Sensor

I turned my irrigation system on this year, and the controller is working great. However, the plant Sensor hasn't checked in since last year; so I went to reconnect it to my wifi. When I press the button 6 times, all I get is a flashing red light.

Power outage detection and more

I’ve just bought my first Sprite and Whisperer and really eager to receive them and start them running in my garden.
In Italy, where I live, we often have this situation: during “off summer season” we live in town, but the garden is located in an holiday site, for instance at the seaside house (this is my case). It may happen that we experiment, sometimes, but unpredictably, a “power outage” accident. 
As far as I know, Netro has implemented a “cloud application”. Is it possible to be promptly advised that a “power outage” has just occurred? That would be quite useful, since if I’m promptly known of the issue, I can immediately take a properly action to recover the outage (with the help of a neighbour for instance). This may also be some kind helpful to support the diagnosis around the cause of the issue. I think that the “use case” might be the following: if Sprite is not set to “off mode” and have “no answer” to the check, send a message “possible power outage on Sprite id XXX”. Desirable channel of communication: email, whatsup, sms, … I’d really appreciate to know what you think about my proposition. I really deem it could be a very appreciated “complementary, but valuable service”.
Second question: is there any update on the list of the Meteo Forecasting Providers thar are supported by Netro? I’m interested particularly in Meteo.it and 3bmeteo.com

Best sync option?

Got a Pixie. Set my sync time to 6 hours for now. Hopefully I won’t have to tinker much.


Is there any compelling reason I should set it to 1 hour or 3 hours if I don’t plan to mess with the settings? Does Netro have a recommendation?

google home not connected

I have added netro to google home. The netro device in my garden now shows offline "does not respond". It flashes to "connecting" each second which quickly fails. 

controlling via the app works fine.


what could be going on?

Keep Connected option

Since wifi uses a fair amount of regular power, I assume the Pixie cannot be kept connected to the Internet or remain online for long periods of time. Yet the instructions and website don't seem to offer much guidance, and if so, I have not been able to find it.


So I experimented. I set the Keep Connected option to 9 am to 7:30 pm for Thursday. Seems the battery went dead in a day. 


I gather the Keep Connected option is limited. If so, any guidance would be appreciated. I did find it concerning that neither the Netro app nor the experimental web app showed the rapid deterioration in battery power.


Ideally users would have the option to set multiple blocks for Keep Connected. For example, I would like the Pixie to stay online from 7 am to 8 am and then again from 6 pm to 7 pm. Is that something that's in the works? I know most customers might not need such an option, but for some such as myself it would be useful.


I also imagine there is some kind of obstacle to the device sending out a WAKE UP command when a user wants to connect. Such as feature would obviously be great.


The particulars: 


The Netro app said I had 82% power at the start of Thursday. The app also said I had 82% power as of Friday morning (data appeared frozen in retrospect).

 

On Friday afternoon, the app suddenly told me it was zero power (while the experimental web app told me it was at 84% power and then 9% power on Fri afternoon). The app went from showing itself to be ONLINE, as it should, to NEXT SYNC. No warning or anything or the app showing a gradual depletion of power.

Which Alexa app?

Just got a Pixie. I downloaded both Netro and Netro Home for Alexa. Both work, but should one be disabled? 


The Netro app seems a bit simpler to use (but still clunky). By contrast, Alexa asks if I want to open the Nextro Home app every time I give a command.


Ideally the commands would be simplified, but at least I can get it to work.

Netro app on google home

Hi,

I found netro home app in google home and add with my account to my home. When I click on it I can only start and stop netro without control on which zone I want to do this action. I suppose that it will go in order through the zones. Could be possible to add a zone control on this action?

Home Assistant integration

Hi, I was interested to know if you will be integrating Netro System to HASS.IO? This is a platform may people use and it would be great to have it integrated. 


Also, I see that there is some type of http page that shows files and SSH is enabled by default. These are security concerns and should be turned off if not used.

my system only starts in one area. its confused

Help.  Last summer I installed my new Netro.  each wire color correlated to a specific area ie. front yard, back yard, side yard.  It worked last summer.  Now when I tell the system to turn on my any area such as back yard my front yard turns on each time.  all other areas remain dry.   help. what do I do?  i have already reset my unit and reconnected to wifi but still the same.

Changing ownership of home

I'm selling my house with a sprite 12 zone system already set up. How do I transfer this to a new owner without having to reset zones, naming the zones, selecting type of plants and timers?


I know they will have a new wifi router. I think I can set that up.

Netro Whisperer no longer measures soil moisture accurately

I have the Netro Whisperer and, recently, it is only indicating 1% soil moisture even though it’s inserted into a fully wetted pot.  I’ve tried cleaning the sensor stake and recalibrating it but it still only indicates 1% soil moisture on the app.  How can I correct this?

Raining but still watering
