Ignoring Restrictions for one zone

Hi Brodie, 


If you want to create your own programs and turn off smart zone feature and rain delay feature, go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone and toggle the enable button for this certain zone. When the smart zone is disabled, the system will strictly follow the user program to water this zone and you can still keep smart zone feature for the rest zones.

Please set up your weather provider in Netro app to Weather Underground PWS. Please go Settings->Controller->Weather Provider->Weather Underground->input your station ID.

Hi Carlos,

Please check the wires. Are they loose or disconnected from the slots? Please also check the common wires and the master valve if you have one. If you believe the wires are correctly installed,  please check if there is a main valve/faucet that is turned off manually. To test if the controller is working properly, use a multimeter (AC voltage mode) to test the voltage between the common wire and the zone wire when the zone is active. Normally the voltage should be between 24V and 28V.

You might also want to check whether there are shorted zones or open zones. You just need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the common wire and each zone (remove the wires from the slots before testing the resistance). The normal reading would be 20-60 Ohms. If the reading is less than 10 Ohms then you might have a shorted circuit in the solenoid and if it is larger than 80 Ohms you might have an open circuit. Please let us know if it works.

You can  put Sprite in "paused" mode through Settings->Controller->Enabled.  First you will have winterize your system and blow out the sprinkler. You can look at this video to find some useful information.

Smart Watering Algorithm

Hi John,


Our Sever side gets and updates weather information every early morning at 4 am. 


If you turn on the smart zone feature, By default, Netro skip schedules today and tomorrow if today rains more than 0.2 inch.  We have manually checked the data for your place on darksky and yesterday rain was 0.04 inch so Netro did not skip your watering. https://darksky.net/details/30.0336,-95.261/2021-2-9/us12/en


We did not see 1 inch of rain in the following days form Darksky. If the rainfall data is not correct, you can go to the Discover page, tap the "+" button on the upper right corner and select "correct rainfall".



You could customized the weather restrictions now, like I want to skip the schedules on the day after tomorrow as well, or I want to skip if rain more than 1 inch. The setting is in "setting -> preferences -> rain".

Please connect your master valve wire to M slot of Netro. Mater valve opens together with any other valve. For example, you manual start zone 1 on the app and the app automatically open the master valve together with your zone 1. After reporting the data, normally the light on the sensor will turn off shortly. However, the light will stay on if all the following 3 conditions are met: 
1. You have selected automatic for light mode in the Netro app
2. The sensor battery level is high (larger than 90%)
3. The sensor is in dark or almost dark

Hi Don,


We suggest keep the moisture level low as 65% and moisture level high as 90%. A good rule of thumb for most herbs is to water about once per week.


We found useful tips about the sunlight requirements for herbs: Most herbs need a fair amount of sunlight. As long as an herb is growing in a space where it gets at least 4 hours of sunlight a day, it will most likely do well. Most can tolerate much more sunlight, though, with herbs like rosemary, lavender and basil thriving in full sun (6 – 8 hours a day). Looking for herbs to plant in either a partially shaded area or one that receives filtered light? Try planting chervil or parsley.
