Dear customer,

You can set up your smart zone for basic mode, which will not create smart schedules for you, and the rain will automatically skip when there is rain.

Please check this article https://netrohome.com/forum/posts/111

Custom sprinkler flow rate

Wency Pan
Updated at 2023-05-31 08:48:32 UTC

Dear customer,

The default flow rate specification of Netro is measured in mm/h, while your sprinklers are specified in l/min. These are two different units of measurement and cannot be directly compared. To convert from l/min to mm/h, you would need to know the area covered by each sprinkler and the number of the heads.
The calculation of the flow rate requires the acreage of the irrigation area, here's the calculation formula to help better understand :
  1. Count the number of sprinkler head n, if all heads (typicall yes) have the same Liters per minute, calculate V = L/min * 60 mins * n, which is the total volume of water provided by all heads in an hour.
  2. Measure or estimate your zone area A in the unit of m^2. 3. The flow rate PR= 1000V/A, which is the average depth of water your zone gets in an hour.

We understand that it would be useful to have the flow rate specified when selecting sprinkler types for zones. We appreciate your feedback on this matter and will take it into consideration for future updates.

Dear customer,

You can try the "new plant" mode which will keep the moisture level very high (above 85%) and water more frequently. Please go settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode. Or you can create programs to add watering.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Dear customer,

Rain delay is forbidden watering in the following days after rain and is a one-time setting. If you want to save the settings, please go to settings->preferences -> rain -> days to skip.

To cancel a rain delay, you can select the date with grey dot and there will pop up the restriction,  please select the restriction and it will show the option to cancel.

Dear customer,

If you remove the wire for this zone from the controller, then start watering other stations for example station 2, does this zone still start to water?

Manuel Run delay

Updated at 2023-05-26 01:51:21 UTC
Dear customer,

By default, your Pixie turns on its WiFi module once every hour to sync up with the server. The sync-up usually takes less than one minute. For the next 59 minutes the timer will be sleeping and disconnected from the WiFi until the next sync. When the timer is sleeping, it is unaware of the schedule changes, including the manual watering.

If you have to water instantly, you can go to Settings -> Preferences-> "Keep Online" and enable the feature.

You can view more info here: https://netrohome.com/en/shop/user_guides/2

Please let us know if it helps.

Zones

Updated at 2023-05-26 01:50:21 UTC

Dear customer,

Please check the wires. Are they loose or disconnected from the slots? Please also check the common wires and the master valve if you have one. If you believe the wires are correctly installed,  please check if there is a main valve/faucet that is turned off manually.

To test if the controller is working properly, use a multimeter (AC voltage mode) to test the voltage between the common wire and the zone wire when the zone is active. Normally the voltage should be between 24V and 28V.

You might also want to check whether there are shorted zones or open zones. You just need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the common wire and each zone (remove the wires from the slots before testing the resistance). The normal reading would be 20-60 Ohms. If the reading is less than 10 Ohms then you might have a shorted circuit in the solenoid and if it is larger than 80 Ohms you might have an open circuit.

Thanks,

Wency

Updated at 2023-05-26 01:48:25 UTC

Dear customer,

Wifi connection is required the set up the Spark controller.

When the device is online, netro will pull and save normal schedules. When the device is offline, it will continue to execute the normal schedules that was pulled down previously. After the normal schedules are all executed, it will generate a backup program if the backup program is saved.
Please also note that when creating a backup program, the device must be online.
