How can I give my landscaper a way to manage the watering cycles?

Hi Joshua,

Currently Netro doesn't have a separate way for a landscaper to access the app. The only way to give them control of the system would be to give them your account name and password. However, we don't recommend you do that unless you're comfortable doing so.

A workaround would be changing your password to a temporary one and after your landscaper completes the work you change the password back to the original one.

Hi Douglas, the "new plant" method tries to keep the moisture level very high (above 85%), but doesn't ensure watering every day. Neto does not water that frequent as expected due to weather, soil types, etc.

To the Netro community:

We are very excited to introduce our new product, Pixie, the WiFi-connected Hose Faucet Timer. We have spent almost a year designing and developing the smart timer and now it is ready to meet the users.

We believe Pixie is a great choice if you have water systems running through hose faucet. It is as smart as Sprite and can pair with Whisperer. It is solar powered and has a removable battery for quick charge. If you like the features in the Netro app, it has all the access to them.

For more information about Pixie, please email to info@netrohome.com or simply leave a message/comment below and we will send you a promotion code for the first 50 buyers.

Hi Piti,

Netro currently only support English in Google Home and Alexa skills. We have not support Germany yet. We are looking for translations in Germany, then we will publish it later.

Please use your google assistant app to find "Netro Sprite", either by directly typing "talk to Netro Sprite" or searching through the google assistant explorer. Then tap the "link" button, and you will be redirected to the account login page. After using your Netro account to be successfully linked, you will be able to use google home to work with Netro. You can talk to your Google home like: "Hey google, ask Netro Sprite to water zone two for 5 minutes." or "Hey google, ask Netro Sprite to stop watering." The Netro Sprite should start/stop watering accordingly. Currently these are the only two commands that we support. We will add more in future, for example, running a specific program.

Thanks,

Hi Matty,

Maybe some pages are 24 hours. Could you let us know the pages which is  24 hours? Our default watering is morning unless there's not enough time for watering in the morning. Watering changed to PM watering is not caused by weather provider. It does not matter which weather to choose.

It is possible that it is in the afternoon when you change the watering, so the watering activities can only be scheduled in the afternoon. Watering should be in the morning in your following watering schedules.

Hi Matt,

Sprite cannot determine that these zones are watering the same area. We suggest the settings and parameters of two zones be the same. Is there any overlapped area between your two zones?

Thanks,

Keeps watering after heavy rains!

Hi Dan,

As rainfall amount varies significantly even in a small area, the weather data could be not accurate enough for your place. Netro still watered your zone after heavy rain, this might because the weather forecast said there was going to be a small rain but it turns out to be a big one. The soil moisture level will not increase a lot after small rain so Netro still watered your zones to keep the soil mosute level up. You can go to the Home page, tap the moisture level(%)  in a circle in the zone area to check the soil moisture level of your zone by week/month.

Of course, all weather forecast could be wrong. Netro tries the best to provide accurate watering schedule even with incorrect forecast. First, we periodically update the weather data, once the weather data is changed, we update the un-executed schedules ASAP. Second, we re-check the weather data for the past, update our model, and adjust following schedules accordingly. For example, Netro may not water today due to large rainfall from forecast data. The next day, Netro re-check the weather data, if no rainfall found and your soil is dry enough, Netro will water accordingly.

Thanks,

Netro Support

Absolutely- a must have! I am so frustrated by the user interface- it's  nothing short of maddening.  The simplistic features that qould fix it could be coded in India in about a week. Giving it one more update to fix these things, then BLASTING them on Amazon. My neighbor hates me for suggesting and installing hers. Darksky is always wrong, amd not being anle to input actual rainfall, or at the very least hardcode zone moisture level to reset the calculation is ridiculous.
