Whisperer is an independent product which does not require the Sprite controller to collect data. You can add as many sensors as possible in your Netro app. You can use this solar-powered sensor to monitor your plants remotely, even if you don’t have a sprinkler system. When the water, temperature or light levels of your plants need special attention, the Netro App will alert you.
As each zone is unique, with different plants, sunlight and soil conditions, we recommend to place one sensor in each zone for best watering results. Consider adding sensors for the zones that you care most. However, in a future version of the app, we will allow one sensor to monitor up to 3 zones but the user needs to make sure the zones have similar environmental conditions.
Whisperer needs Wi-Fi to connect to the internet. There are two frequency bands used for Wi-Fi communication: 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Most modern routers can broadcast on both bands. Whisperer only uses the 2.4GHz band because the 2.4GHz has a farther range than the 5GHz. To make sure Whisperer is within your Wi-Fi network’s range, the easiest way is to use your phone to test. If your phone is able to detect the WiFi signal, Whisperer should be able to connect at the same location.
Yes. All the data will be saved on the Netro cloud server. You can view the data and receive alerts as long as you have access to the internet, no matter where you are.
Whisperer is able to store 64 data samples. It will keep all the data until it has access to the internet and upload the data to the cloud server. You will be able to change the frequency that it uploads, from once every hour to once every 12 hours.
