Hi Luca,

Our system currently do not support Netatmo weather station. In the next release, we are going to support Weather Underground PWS (https://www.wunderground.com/). You can connect your local weather station to the Weather Underground network, and tell Netro your PWS ID, then you could use the accurate data reported by your weather station.

Plant Sensors Monitoring Multiple Zones

To the Netro community:


We recently have launched an update for the Netro app on App Store and Google Play. In the newest version of the app, we allow one sensor to monitor up to 3 zones but the user needs to make sure the zones have similar environmental conditions.


Please upgrade your app to the newest version and go to Settings->Sensors, select a sensor, go to Zones and select the zones you would like to monitor.

            

            

After saving the changes, you can go to the Home page and check the topsoil moisture level of your zones reported by sensor.


Please feel free to explore other new and exciting features that we just added : 

1.Support Apple Watch

(only available for iOS )


2.Support Weather Underground PWS

(Settings->Controller->Weather Provider)


3.Rainfall adjustment

(Please go to the Discover page and tap the "+" button on the upper right corner,  select "Correct Rainfall")

Removing plant sensor

Hi Alessia,


We saw you have deleted this standalone sensor. 

If you want to move the stand alone sensors to a zone, please go to the home page. There is a drop down menu and please select your Sprite controller, then go to Add a Product-> Plant sensor and then select the zone and complete the following procedures to add the sensor. You will need to press the button 6 times on the back of the sensor to change its mode to Setup mode (light blinking slowly).


Please let us know if you want to delete the "Plant Sensors" in the drop menu and we can help you delete it from the server side.

sprite losing connection

Hi Robert,


If the controller lost connection, in most cases you do not need to reset the router. Simply reboot the controller (unplug power and replug in) and it will reconnect.

Dear customer,


1. As to set up sqm, the unit is square meter. If you change the area, the water usage will be different. Netro uses the area and depth flow rate(inch/hour) to calculate the water usage. When the sprinkler system is professionally designed and installed, the zone is usually covered evenly, which means the large the zone is, the more sprinkler heads it needs. So the equation we use is Area(inch^2) x depth flow rate (inch/hour) x time (hour) = water usage(inch^3)


2. Yes you could set your zone with customized mode. To adjust smart watering, please go to settings->zones->select a zone->smart zone and choose your preferred watering mode. You can choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers.


3. We plan to sell on Amazon. it in the second half of 2020. Currently you can buy Whisperer sensors on our website and the delivery time takes about on week. Free shipping on orders over $ 150.

Currently Netro can only run one zone at a time, so different zones for the same time cannot be created. This limitation is due to the fact that the power adaptor can only provide 600mA max current which is only enough for running one valve (when master valve is used).

We will support running multiple zones at the same time in future.

Host mode

Hi Luca,


If your unit is in Host mode, it means your unit is hosted by Netro internal wifi "Netro_IRC_XXX". During setup,  it will tell you to look for a internal wifi "Netro_IRC_XXX", then connect your smart phone to this internal wifi first.

Hi Joe,

Yes you can use the moisture  level reported by whisperer to control watering of the Sprite controller. Please go to Settings->Sensors, select your sensor and tap Watering Adjustment, then select moisture  to skip watering/add watering.

So far we have supported Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice control in English. We currently do not open MQTT to users. We may consider support API in our future development plan.

Hi,

We currently do not support Apple homekit. Netro is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. We will consider enable Homekit in our future development but it is not our top priority.
