We only update firmware when we find bugs. When there is need for update, the new firmware will be automatically downloaded to the device.

I second that - dark sky for San Francisco has been very inaccurate... for weeks it has been showing partly cloudy with 19% chance of rain even though it was mostly sunny/ today it is raining and it shows partly cloudy with 2% chance of rain ... 

Zone 1 manual water time only 1 minute?

Got it, you have to hold down on the time to select a new one.

The sprite worked perfect for about 3 weeks. Went out of town for a week, during that time it snowed for the entire duration of my trip. The unit worked as it should and didnt water. However when it should have picked up its schedule after weather cleared it did not. It will not run its zone at all. I have checked the resistance on all zones solenoids and they are fine at 28 ohm. I reconnected my old hunter system and all zones worked properly with that controller. So whats the next step?

Dear Kyle,


Was there a power outage before the disconnection? There is a known bug in the current firmware that after a power outage, if the router boots up too slowly, the controller cannot be manually controlled and the app shows offline(regular program and smart schedules will still run). This will be fixed in the next firmware release in a few weeks.


If the disconnection is unrelated to power outage, please write to us at support@netrohome.com and our technical support will follow up with solutions.

Unexpected smart schedule

Dear Tony, 


Netro's smart schedules are dynamic. All smart schedules in the future could be adjusted if new events happen, for example, weather forecast data updates, new whisperer sensor data. Therefore, it's possible that the smart schedules you saw today will be updated tomorrow. For your specific case, two of your smart schedules on 12th could be skipped due to high moisture level reported by your whisperer sensor. As you mentioned, by default if the moisture level reported by Whisperer sensor is above 80%,  smart schedules will be skipped. You can update the threshold to higher or lower value if you need. 



Introducing the Referral Program

before adding such a “referral” program - how about answering questions in a timely matter here? 


My Netro is lagging and it’s honestly a pain working with it. If I water manually it will show in the app but won’t actually water. Also when starting the manual watering for all zones I’ll constantly get a network error. 


Once you got all your stuff working and happy customers, the referrals will take care of themselves. But right now I don’t feel confident of recommending this to anyone I know.

To the correct WiFi although it is.  Bought a new sensor - not connecting since upgrade to iOS 13. Please advise. See pictures.

App Crashes on adding product

Hi,


I just received my Pixie and Whisperer and wanted to set them up using my iPhone. 

Therefore I launch the app and go to "Add Product", select the Pixie and then I'm promted to enter my location and a name for the timer.

When I click on "next" the app crashes and returns to the home screen. 100% reproducible. I tried to enter different adress and name, but couldn't make it work. Crashes every time. 

Reinstall also didn't solve the problem.


Netro App: 2.4.0

iPhone 11 Pro

iOS 13.3.1

German (also tried English)


Let me know, if you need anything else to reproduce/solve this issue or if there is something that I could do to prevent it. 
So far, I couldn't find anything in the forum here.

Hi Stefano,


Which Alexa still are you using? It should be the Netro Home skill not the Netro skill.


Also, I think you will see the Netro device in the skill. It is completely on voice command and after you link your Netro account you can just say the commands to Alexa.

Oh,  Looks like I  may have answered my own question.  

In desperation after writing my question just now, I deleted the app from my phone because I could not get to the log in page because the dumb program (I guess) wouldn't let me do a "Test Run" once I had started setting up the controller but was stuck because I couldn't hook to WiFi 'cause there is none yet.  

But upon deleting the Netro App from my phone and then getting it again from the Apple App Store, now I CAN get to the log-in page and, lo and behold, there is the Test-run button at the bottom of the page!!    Obviously it should be accessible from inside the setup if there is no WiFi available too!!

im not at the site, and it looks like I need to be in bluetooth range so i will go there now (before the lockdown for the virus becomes more total, as many expect) and hopefully it will now work and the landscape will be safe for at least a month.  I will add another answer once I see if indeed it works.

1. We just checked your account and we found Netro waterd your zone 5 after rain for 20 seconds. Did you turn off the smart zone feature manually? Normally Netro will skip watering after rain, however, the moisture level for you zone 5 is still low after rain because slight rain amount was reported by weather provider (PWS). Your zone 5 is associated with sensor and Netro uses both the top soil and deep soil moisture to estimate moisture level.

2. I talked to our R&D and we will support this feature of changing the moisture level to a lower value in the next release of the app. We can open this feature for you currently from the server side and please let us know if you would like to try.

How to stop watering if device is offline?

If device is offline, you can not stop watering from the app. You will have to unplug the power the stop watering.

Programming time vs Restrictions

If you create a program or restriction, Netro will strictly follow the watering time and duration, however, preferences will not. Netro will try to water during your preferred time. However, if Netro believes your watering is not enough, it will still water your zones regardless of you preferred watering time. 


Yes restriction is a more flexible way than programs to set time range and many other rules that can be applied to all or to specific zone.


When you create a program, please make sure it will not conflict with restrictions. If programming time range is different from time range set with restriction rules, Netro will not water.

Which Alexa app?
