bad wireless?

Hello,

I'm including a screen shot of the Netro app controlling a Sprite 12 in my home. The Sprite has very good wi-fi access. I understand from a support comment what the icons mean:

 The exclamation mark means the cloud server did not receive the confirmation from the device. There are two possible causes: 

1. the device is not powered up when it was supposed to be powered up to run that schedule. Therefore, the corresponding zone is not watered (what is why we use the exclamation to alert users) 

2. the schedule run fine but it was during a temporary network outage or exception so that the confirmation cannot be delivered to the server. Wireless connection can be unstable for a short peroid time so it is not uncommon to have a glitch in the communication. 


This is happening a lot (I'm getting more warnings than checkmarks) and I believe it's adding to the water usage. If this is a wireless connection issue (which I SERIOUSLY doubt) wouldn't the Sprite store the result and upload it the next time it has a cloud connection?  It seems that every time I get the schedule warning, the Smart Zone systems adds additional watering times to the schedule. There is nothing I can do to increase the wi-fi access at this location as it's already very close to the access point. Please let me know what can be done.

"MQTT(port 1883) is blocked by the router"

Looking at the about screen on the app (on my phone), I click on the "Check Server Status" and I get the following message:

"MQTT(port 1883) is blocked by the router"


This device is on a separate IoT network that has full, unrestricted outbound access to the Internet. What could be causing this?

The app on my tablet shows:

Server Status:    OK

Response time:  0.3 s


Is something being blocked on my phone?

Whisperer connexion

Just received your goods. Had no problem connecting the Spark unit but cannot connect the whisperer.

When reaching the Wifi template it is stuck to the Netro_PLS_xxx and cannot move to MyhomeWifi.

Of course have no access to Netro..... and in any case do not have the password.

The installation manual says it will connect to the router. Unhappily looking to the router I see clearly the Spark but nothing else

I have 5 zones programmed daily in 15/20/35 mins intervals however when I goto the home screen I see them all in 15mins intervals... Seems as the home screen bypass' the current daily programmed schedule.  How do I have my programs run as intended 15/20/35 .ins intervals vs the 15mins it self imposed?

I just installed the unit, set up the program properly? And try it out all the zones. All I wanted to do was test them to make sure they were working. But how do I turn off the water if I just want to test it for a minute?

I would like to learn more about the watering modes. Specially I would like to know the difference between EPA and Deep. 

Make´s sense to use it in summer? specially in hot areas over 30ºC

Whisperer not providing any readings

Whisperer installed and working for over a month. Self learning completed and just getting great control of the watering. 

This morning, battery level 89%, no firmware updates available and all readings have been at 0% for the last 10 hours. 

Any ideas anyone?

Rainfall from weather station

I have a weather station that is connected to WU. I have linked the station on the app, but it doesn’t seem to use actual rainfall. It only uses the forecast weather. 

Is there anyway to change this so the actual rainfall is used?

Whisper Pairing

Hello-  I have two new whisper devices. Both will not go into pairing mode.  Press power button six times and the light just blinks red on and quickly off. Press three times and same thing.  

How do I get the whisper into pairing mode?

Whisperer stop working

After 3 weeks of working, my whisperer stop working. It didn’t connect to the Wi-Fi. It was off.

I try to switch on, without any effect. I tried to put it direct indet the Sun for more then one hour. It restart working. After one day inserire the Sun it stopper again to work. Now is raining, so I can’t do nothing.

Ideas?

I have recently bought  a whisper sensor to complement my Netro watering system. I have a watering system in the garden, where Can I install the whisper in order to avoid it will be wet all days by the watering system? Do I have to put it outside of the garden? Thanks. Paul

Pixie displays Soil Moisture reading without any sensor

Hi.  My Pixie shows a Soil Moisture reading that changes over time, but it doesn’t have a Whisperer connected to it.  It seems to influence the watering frequency.  When I look at the watering schedule, it’s supposed to water every nine days, but instead it’s watering every three days.  Is this normal?

Checking with the Netro app, I see that my Sprite has firmware version 2.2.0, while I think I read in the forum that there is version 2.5.3.
How can I force the update?

Hi

I have recently bought  a whisper to complement my Netro watering system. It was bought from Amazon, but showed  no signs of life after following the instructions. I have left in the garden presuming it was flat. After a few day the unit is still showing a red light suggesting the battery is still not charged . Is the unit faulty?
