Dear customer,


Could you please check if the Smart Zone feature is enabled for your zones? When the smart zone is disabled, the system will strictly follow the user program to water the zones. There is no intelligence here. Netro will not skip your schedules when there is rain. Regulation feature will not be in effect as well.

Dear customer,


The Stream's water inlet is designed to be placed in a continuous water supply, such as a bucket or a container, and a pond might work as well. The Stream then pumps water from this source to water your plants. 


However, placing the Stream's inlet directly on a faucet might not have the best results. Secondly, if you’re looking to use the Stream with a specific zone of your Sprinkler system, it's important to note that this Sprinkler zone needs to have a water storage feature. Without it, we cannot guarantee a consistent water supply for the Stream’s inlet, and therefore, they may not be compatible for use together.

Dear customer,


Could you please let us know your plant type? Different plants need different watering strategies. If your zone grows shrubs or trees which typically have longer roots than grass and absorb water from deeper soil, it takes more days for the moisture level to drop. To refill the mositure level up, it takes longer time running the sprinklers too.

Dear customer,


New plant mode aims to maintain a high moisture level (above 85%), but it doesn't guarantee daily watering. You can try with the 'new plant' mode and monitor its impact on the growth of your plants.


If you do not want smart zone schedule to override your own programmed schedule, you can set up the Smart Zone level from Advanced to Basic through Settings->Zones->Smart Zone,  which only skip rainning days for your programmed schedule.

Set up with mobile phone hotspot

Yes you can set up programs on the controller using hotspot. Sprite will continue to execute the next 32 pre-loaded schedules if the Wi-Fi connection is lost, for example, the router or the internet service is down.

Internet off - sprinklers on/off intermittently

Dear customer,


May I inquire if this "5 seconds on, 1 min off" pattern occurs consistently during watering, or is it an occasional issue? Also, could you please let us know when this behavior started? Please press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds to do a hard reset to reset the unit to see if it works.


1.Power off the device(unplug the power adapter)
2.Wait for 2 seconds, replug the power back in
3.Wait for 3 minutes for the device to start up
4.Press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds to do a hard reset
5.Wait for 3 minutes. This should set the light to slow blinking.

Sprite vs Spark - Backup and Faulty Valve Detection

For the backup feature, when the device is online, netro will pull and save normal schedules. When the device is offline, it will continue to execute the normal schedules that was pulled down previously. After the normal schedules are all executed, it will generate a backup program if the backup program is saved.

The backup feature can continue to operate until the internet is restored, executing the stored schedules locally. The backup is designed to prevent interruptions in watering, ensuring the soil remains adequately moist after completing the fixed-duration watering at a specific time each day.


The faulty valve detection relies on monitoring the voltage and current of the water valve's operational state. As for measuring the volume of water consumed, it's a consideration for future developments.
