If you go to  settings then zones, then pick a zone you use from there hit smart zones and then hit mode, From here you can chose from  8 different watering options from frequent smaller amounts to heavy (extra). When you do this just go back one screen and it will show the average number of days in between and for how long it waters. You can even change it (frequency and amount) for each zone which is extremely helpful. Your question just happened to be what I just realized how to do this without using a custom schedule literally 15 minutes ago myself. Lol Hope this helps

I also do think that the netro is not so smart. I have enabled smart watering and doesn't do what it should do. Bigger areas get less water than the small areas. Also weather adaptation doesn't help. Where I live it was raining like hell and my back yard got flooded. Netro had no ideea that we had so much rain. The soil is still wet after 3 days and guess what? Netro wanted to water my yard yeaterday.

Netro's smart algorithm depends on accurate weather. The weather provider you choose (darksy) didn't report rain to us recently: 1cm on 07/05 but almost zero for other days. That's why Netro waters more than expected. You could check other weather providers, e.g. accuweather, is it better for your area? https://www.accuweather.com/en/ro/carcea/278706/june-weather/278706?year=2020&view=list

For me the problem is that the available precipitation (flow rate) per hour starts at 10mm. Mine is 3.5mm
