I agree - it'd be very handy if the app could send a notification when it is offline.  On occasion my netro will trip the GFCI (reasons unknown), and sometimes it takes me awhile to notice that things aren't being watered as it tends to water early in the morning and we're deferring to the netro for the "smart" watering..
