After a winter, I set mine in the sun during the days for 5 weeks and under a regular light every night. After 5 weeks, I got one to work (I have 3). According to the device status, after 5 weeks of charging it achieved 8% charge. For the other 2 I next plan to explore replacing the batteries ( they appear dead anyway so if I break them trying to replace the batteries I'm no worse off)

How old are the sensors? Why not replace under warranty?

This amount of time seems ridiculous in terms of charging...
