Questions

Can't keep a zone from coming on with others. Not the selenoid.

Hi,
I think I am cursed. I had to run a new line for two of my sprinkler valves as I had to move them and it was easier just to run new wire. The sit together in the same hand hole. I am having problems with one of the valves as it goes on when any of the other zones is active. I have replaced the valve once, the selenoid twice (showing solid OHM rating both times. I have the senenoid screwed down nearly all the way. It is the same zone (8) every time. I took a common wire and two others from the new line one went to each valve and the other to the far left common post. The valves, of course, are wired with one from the zone, and the other to the common wire that goes back to the far left C.  When the zone is off it is showing it is throwing about 2 volts AC. I suspect that is normal, or is it a sign of something else?

I have a Spark 16 and it has been in operation less than a month.
Thanks,
Kirk

Help! Pump Relay Question

My unit has been working great . However, the relay no longer trips when a zone is activated. Am I supposed to have 24v A/C between M and C (on the right side of the panel, not the zone side) when a zone is active? I can trip the relay if I pull it from the Netro. Some sort of voltage output map would be helpful.

I have new grass seed down, so please help soon.

Can’t set my WU to my weather station. It says invalid like others have experienced. The Netro rain numbers are WAY off. For example, 7/31/2022 shows as .24 inches of rain. Both my stations show .83 and .85 respectively. Could you please set mine to station ID KNCWASHI55 ?

Much appreciated

Dark mode/ font update?

Hoping to find out if dark mode and more legible fonts for the light gray in the interface will be more noticeable at some point. Hey this is the only app I have difficulty reading a font that size. Can you at least make it black instead of super light gray? Seems like a pretty quick change. Dark mode I’m sure is more difficult, so an interim step would be appreciated. Any idea when the next release will be out?

Dark Mode and/ or Font size

on my iPhone it is nearly impossible to read a lot of the characters because they aren’t in dark black letters it’s a very light thin font. It seems like it would be a lot easier to read if the application supported dark mode. The other option would be to set a preference to increase the font size. That seems like pretty standard request so I’m hoping you guys might be able to get it in a future build.

Having a problem since upgrade of the app. Doesn't seem possible unless the main unit updated as well. Valves close within a few minutes of being activated by manual start, or programmed schedule. Have not test with smart watering disabled, but it happens on manual starts, so not sure that is even a variable. The Zone still shows as actively watering in the application. If you submit a stop  action by pressing the red square, then restart, via the sideways triangle, the zone will come back on again. However, it shortly shuts back off, while still showing the zone as being actively watered. This is happening across all four of my zones. Curiously, if you unplug the controller after the valve shuts off, but the app still shows it watering, wait a bit, and then plugit back int-the zone comes backon shortly after reboot.

Tested countless times, hasn't finished a cycle in a month. The zone stops sending the 24v signal causing the pump relay to snap shut and turn off the water supply, or perhaps the zone valve. Either way, appears to be a very odd defect. Do I need a replacement unit?  (BTW, I have all smart fumctioms disabled)

The new version is exactly as promised! I can't wait to see how it works!

I have configured my WU PWS, and setup a secondary rain guage as well!

Where's our promised update?

It's the last day of the month and the new version still hasn't dropped. You are already a month past your original commit date. Please stop marketing products that are add-ons, when the software is lagging substantially. The big companies are going to catch, kill and eat you unless you start running faster.

Roadmap and delivery timeline.

It's been nearly two months since you said adjusting actual rainfall would be added to the app. No useful updates at all. We deserve to know if you are spending your time on other products, and are not planning to fix this app. Transparency would help keep me from pulling my hair out.

Weather Company API- Revenue stream for Netro

It is my understanding that you could restore our ability to pull data into netro from our individual weather stations. This would require paying for the API, which you could mark up 20% and offer a paid option to netro clients. $3.99 a year, for example, would be totally worth it to get accurate information to my sprinkler controller. As I have outlined in a previous post, dark sky has proven to be wildly inaccurate. It's Miss estimates rainfall by at least 50%, on average, and is within three degrees plus or minus on high temperature only about 50% of the time.

Irritating - Dark Sky is junk.

Topic: Netro App

Why can't I see the assumption Netro is making on the amount of rain that fell the day before? I paid Dark Sky for the time machine feature, but it's never accurate Yesterday  it rained here over an inch (rain gauge and $250 weather station agreed)  Dark Sky time machine (no, not Hot Tub time machine) reported  25 inch. At the very least I should be able to go into the app and put the actual rain that fell for the day before. Is there a way to do it, and if not, will you please add it? I would get a Whisperer, but the feedback has been rather poor on here.

The community is nice, but how am I supposed to see answers? It shows "Answers 2", for example, but you click in it, and noting happens. Irritating
