Hi Rick,

When the Pixie is in sleep mode, the watering state will remain "pending" until the next sync time. The watering will also begin at the next sync time. When you start the manual watering from the app, there should a message showing the waiting time.

Dear Joan,

The Sprite controller is not water proof, but you can purchase an enclosure to use it outdoor. Please check our website for the enclosure: https://www.netrohome.com/shop/products/20. Please note that the enclosure shipment will be delayed in about 2 weeks.

Dear Massimo,

In the latest version of the app, we uses both the top soil and deep soil moisture to estimate so Netro will not show subsoil humidity as showing both level would be a little messy.

Dear customer,

Currently it is not supported. As a workaround, you can create a zone as a fake zone and do not connect it to valve, then enable this fake zone to start watering.

What does water your sensor mean?

Updated at 2020-05-08 02:17:14 UTC

Hi Kevin,

This notification is for your stand alone sensor to water that area. You have a stand alone sensor and named as sensor. Since stand alone sensor is not associated with Sprite, we have notification to alert user water that area monitored by stand alone sensor.

Does it automatically stop if it rains?

Updated at 2020-05-08 02:13:01 UTC

Dear Alnavasa,

If you turn on the smart zone feature, Netro will skip the schedules(including manual schedules from user programs) when there is a chance of significant rain(>0.2inch).

Updated at 2020-05-06 08:41:47 UTC

Hi Patrick,

The red light means the battery level of sensor was low. Please place sensor under sunlight for a couple of days to charge. If sensor blinks a few second white light followed by a red light and immediate shut down, then the sensor is charged but it failed to connect to your home WiFi. Please press the button 6 times quickly( turn it on and off  3 times ) and the light will start to blink slowly. Please take a look at this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl-VlTkcaJE

If you are able to make the light blink slowly, you are ready to reconnect it to your home WiFi. Please go to the Netro app -> settings-> sensors -> select the sensor -> Change WiFi network/password to reconnect it.

How to delete Smart Schedule?

Dear Matty,

We just checked your account and we found you did not turn the smart zone off for all of the zones, for example, "West Driveway", "Flowerbeds". You will have to turn off the smart zone feature for each zone to make sure smart watering do not occur.

Hi Andrea,

Currently Netro allows one sensor to monitor up to 3 zones and the user needs to make sure the zones have similar environmental conditions. The max zones per sensor is three.

Hi Mirko,

Currently Alexa cannot recognize renamed zones. You can talk to Netro like:

Ask Netro Home to water all zones for 5 minutes

Ask Netro Home to water zone 1 for 5 minutes

Ask Netro Home to stop watering

IT:
Alexa, chiedi a Netro Home di annaffiare zona 1 per 5 minuti.
Alexa, chiedi a Netro Home di annaffiare tutte le zone per 5 minuti.
Alexa, chiedi a Netro Home di smettere l'annaffiata.

Thanks,

Watering when zones are off

Logo
Netro Inc
Updated at 2020-05-04 06:18:11 UTC

Dear Ben,

Please check the wires. Are they loose or disconnected from the slots? Please also check the common wires and the master valve if you have one. If you believe the wires are correctly installed,  please check if there is a main valve/faucet that is turned off manually.

To test if the controller is working properly, use a multimeter (AC voltage mode) to test the voltage between the common wire and the zone wire when the zone is active. Normally the voltage should be between 24V and 28V.

You might also want to check whether there are shorted zones or open zones. You just need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the common wire and each zone (remove the wires from the slots before testing the resistance). The normal reading would be 20-60 Ohms. If the reading is less than 10 Ohms then you might have a shorted circuit in the solenoid and if it is larger than 80 Ohms you might have an open circuit.

Please let us know if it helps.

Thanks,
Netro Support

Connect the zones

Updated at 2020-05-04 06:16:57 UTC

Dear Alessio ,

Netro automatically creates dynamic watering schedules according to local weather, so if you turn on the smart zone feature for your zone, the smart watering is adjusted automatically.

If you want to make sure two zones are watered on the same day, we suggest you create user programs and set  Smart watering: Level basic. (Go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone)

In this level, no smart schedule will be generated. You will need to add programs manually (go to Settings->Programs to add programs) and Netro will skip programs when there is large amount of rain(>0.2inch/ 5.08 mm) or watering regulations.

Here is an article about Netro three watering modes which might be helpful. https://netrohome.com/forum/posts/111
