Under Settings | Controller you can just uncheck Enable to disable that controller until the weather improves. Mine was shutdown a few weeks ago when we blew out the lines.

You can put Sprite in "paused" mode to shut your unit off for the winter. To put Sprite in "paused" mode, you can go to Settings->Controller->Enabled.
