Waters too much

Dear customer,

If you want to create your own programs and turn off smart zone feature and rain delay feature, go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone (Settings->Garden->Smart Zone for Pixie Timer) and toggle the enable button. When the smart zone is disabled, the system will strictly follow the user program to water the zones. There is no intelligence here. Netro will not skip your schedules when there is rain. Regulation feature will not be in effect as well.

Dear customer,

May I ask if your zone is aquatic plants? If so, you could try the "Plant Type" to either perennial or annual plants and select clay for the "Soil" to see if that meets your needs. Should this setup not suffice, you may consider creating your own programs.

Zone won't start watering

Dear customer,

We suggest switching this issue zone wire with other undeveloped zones. For example, assume the issue zone is zone 1, zone 2 is good zone. Switch zone 1 wire to zone 2, and zone 2 wire to zone 1. Test the two zones, see if the physical issue zone still faulty.

Exclamation on Schedule

Updated at 2024-04-11 05:32:44 UTC

Dear customer,

When Sprite finishes running a watering schedule, it will send a confirmation to the cloud server. In this way, the could server knows whether the schedules are correctly executed or not.

The exclamation mark means the cloud server did not receive the confirmation from the device. There are two possible causes:
1. the device is not powered up when it was supposed to be powered up to run that schedule. Therefore, the corresponding zone is not watered (what is why we use the exclamation to alert users)
2. the schedule run fine but it was during a temporary network outage or exception so that the confirmation cannot be delivered to the server. Wireless connection can be unstable for a short peroid time so it is not uncommon to have a glitch in the communication.

Please do a manual run test, see if there is water come out when your manual run start to water.

If the schedules afterwards are all correctly run and confirmed, please don't worry about it. It could just be a temporary network issues. But if that happens a lot please check the WiFi signal strength. If you use a WiFi extender, please make sure it is connected to the main router stably.

Thanks,

Open Circuit Master Valve

Updated at 2024-04-10 08:36:54 UTC

Dear customer,

Please check the wires. Are they loose or disconnected from the slots? Please also check the common wires and the master valve if you have one. If you believe the wires are correctly installed,  please check if there is a main valve/faucet that is turned off manually.

To test if the controller is working properly, use a multimeter (AC voltage mode) to test the voltage between the common wire and the zone wire when the zone is active. Normally the voltage should be between 24V and 28V.

You might also want to check whether there are shorted zones or open zones. You just need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the common wire and each zone (remove the wires from the slots before testing the resistance). The normal reading would be 20-60 Ohms. If the reading is less than 10 Ohms then you might have a shorted circuit in the solenoid and if it is larger than 80 Ohms you might have an open circuit.

Potted Pkants

Updated at 2024-03-22 07:56:49 UTC

Dear customer,

The Stream's water inlet is designed to be placed in a continuous water supply, such as a bucket or a container, and a pond might work as well. The Stream then pumps water from this source to water your plants.

However, placing the Stream's inlet directly on a faucet might not have the best results. Secondly, if you’re looking to use the Stream with a specific zone of your Sprinkler system, it's important to note that this Sprinkler zone needs to have a water storage feature. Without it, we cannot guarantee a consistent water supply for the Stream’s inlet, and therefore, they may not be compatible for use together.

Updated at 2024-03-19 01:10:16 UTC

Dear customer,

Could you please let us know your plant type? Different plants need different watering strategies. If your zone grows shrubs or trees which typically have longer roots than grass and absorb water from deeper soil, it takes more days for the moisture level to drop. To refill the mositure level up, it takes longer time running the sprinklers too.

Dear customer,

New plant mode aims to maintain a high moisture level (above 85%), but it doesn't guarantee daily watering. You can try with the 'new plant' mode and monitor its impact on the growth of your plants.

If you do not want smart zone schedule to override your own programmed schedule, you can set up the Smart Zone level from Advanced to Basic through Settings->Zones->Smart Zone,  which only skip rainning days for your programmed schedule.
